Tank tops, maxi dresses, shorts, sundresses…how do I love thee, summer? Let me count the ways! I am so excited for warmer weather (someday…maybe…get your act together, Mother Nature!) and Agnes&Dora is a huge part of why I can’t wait for the heat. Want to learn more about what’s coming down the line in summer style? Read on!
Okay, I will admit I was not 100% on board with shorts like this when the styles were announced. They are disturbingly reminiscent of the bike shorts I used to wear in grade school so the whole world would’t see London and France when I was on the playground at recess…but, I think I am coming around to them!
They are made of the same amazing fabric blend as our knit keggings (which I have dubbed “magic pants” because they are universally flattering) and they look super cute with some of our looser tops. I love it styled as pictured–with a fitted tank–but this mama of three needs a little more room in the tee shirt department and pairing flowy shirts with regular shorts isn’t always flattering. I like following the fashion rule of one tight and one loose piece–if I am wearing flowy trousers, the fitted tank is up my alley.
Also pictured appears to the Mitchell dress.
Vintage Lace Duster
Okay, the romantic Austen fan in me is totally crushing on this amazing piece. Is it practical for my life as a SAHM with three boys? Eh, probably not. Am I going to buy it anyway? Um, YES. Date nights will find me looking like something out of a Degas painting…can you picture it? Romantic soft white lace in a dreamy pattern over a gorgeous dress. Now I just need the date night.
Also pictured is the Adams dress, which I do carry in my shop! You can purchase that beauty right now.
Can we just talk about how big a need there was for this incredible style? It’s fun, it’s flirty, and it will keep you cool in hot summers. Here in Virginia (aka land built on a swamp) those are key qualities I look for in my summer wardrobe!
Also pictured is the Kahlo dress (another amazing staple for summer) which you can currently purchase in my shop, and a mesh dress which is coming down the line!
I love a good maxi dress but they are hard to find! I don’t want to look like I’m wearing a muumuu. These gorgeous pieces are just the right blend lf length and style.
I can’t wait to break out the more fitted maxi dress with the slit for a girls’ night out, drinking wine on the patio…I can practically taste the Pinot Grigio.
